From Philips:
New mobile phones line-up for 2003
On the basis of these findings Philips has developed an all-new line-up of mobile phones for 2003. Key features of these new products will be based on Philips’ market-leading competences in audio/video products and applications. For example the highlights of these new mobile phones will include the integration of a complete music experience. This will enable consumers to create, record, share and even feel their music, thanks to special effects that Philips has added to the audio concept of these products. Other key features of these new models will include the latest innovations in colour display and imaging functions. These products will be announced separately and are scheduled to be launched in the course of the second half of this year.
Philips focus on the Asian market
In addition to implementing Philips new consumer marketing strategy, Philips continues to focus on the Asian market, which is of strategic importance to the company.
This is underlined by the introduction of two new mobile phones that have been designed specifically to meet the needs and preferences of Asian consumers. The first of these new models are the Philips 330 and 630, which introduces Philips’ first‘clamshell’ designs. Philips 630 let consumers connect with Fun thanks to features like 30 different 32-tone polyphonic ringers, colour screen, rhythmic light effect, colour games and built-in FM radio. The Philips 330 offers an extra-thin clamshell design experience. The soft, rounded form and metal mirror-effect finish, radiate a precious style and quality.
These new products will be introduced at the beginning of the second quarter of this year.
