    Making your own N6600 theme!






    First: You do this on your own responsibility. If you damage your phone or yourself while following this quide, it's your own fault. (Just to make sure).


    1. Get some theme (like climber) You can get it from tne Nokia wap place


    2. Get MBM Wizard (try google)


    3. With MBM Wizard, open the .mbm file you got with the theme you downloaded. Then extract ("Save selected as bmp") those bmp files somewhere.


    4. The bmp files are probably named something like image1.bmp, image2.bmp etc. for example with the climber theme they are "image17-51-07_0..bmp" etc, so you must rename the files like this:
    image17-51-07_0..bmp -> image17-51-07_000..bmp
    image17-51-07_1..bmp -> image17-51-07_001..bmp etc


    otherwise they get in wrong order and your theme will be screwed up. There is probably some easier way to do this but this is how i did it. And it works


    5. Just edit the bmp files as you wish. I've made a list of the pics, (it's not complete though), but most of them are pretty self explanatory.


    About masks: Masks are used for transparency. If you look at the menu items and their masks you should get the point, only the black area is shown. For some unkown reason few masks are inverted, so only the white area is shown (digital clock numbers for example).


    6. When you're finished (or just want to test what you've done [I suggest you do this a lot, especially with your first theme]) save all those bmp files, then open mbm wizard (if not already open) and browse to the dir where you saved the bmp's. Then press "Select all" and then "Add selected as X" where X is /1, /2, /4, /8, /c4, /c8, /c12, /c16, /c24. What does this mean? Well:


    "/1, /2, /4, /8 for greyscale images (e.g. /1 produces a black&white image while /8 generates an image with 265 shades of grey) and /c4, /c8, /c12, /c16, /c24, /c32 for the number of bits for color images (e.g /c8picture.bmp to convert a 256-color picture.bmp file or /c16picture.bmp to convert a 16-bit picture.bmp image)."     for testing purposes I use c12, because then the files are smaller than c16 and the quality is good enough. When you have a finished theme, you can save space if you make all mask files /1 etc. You shouldn't use better than /c16 because your phones screen probably can't show more than 65k colors.


    7. Now go to File -> Save as, and name the file "climber.mbm" for example. You must use the same filename as the theme you downloaded. Or then you can edit the .ini file and change the directory & filename there.


    8. Then transfer all those 3 files (.mbm, .ini and .skn) to your phone. You must move them to the right directory, and you can see and/or change that directory in the .ini file like I said above. It's something like "c:systemskinxxxxyyyy". If you want to use your MMC, just change C: -> E:


    9. Now just go change your theme. If you don't see your theme in there, make sure you have it in the right directory.

    Hallo und herzlich willkommen bei TT!


    Um das zu bekommen, was du suchst, würde ich Dir mal die TT-interne Suche ans Herz legen. Oben deutlich in gelber Schrift zu erkennen, da findest du mehr als genug für dein 6600.
    Viel Spaß damit.

    Wollte mal fragen ob es hier vielleicht eine genaue ANleitung zum Nokia Theme editor da ich probleme habe die erstelleten graphiken in das theme ein zufügen die verschwinden immer wieder und weiss
    jemand etwas warum der theme editor 6600 fertige themen nicht immer anzeigt sondern eine fehlermeldung aus gibt ??? frage wurde hier leider noch nicht beantwortet

    hallo! mal ne frage was ist die von Nokia bereitgestellte Entwicklungsumgebung und wo bekomme ich die her kann man da icons bekommen ich weis einfach nicht wie ich das mit der uhr machen muß ob analog oder Digital wo bekomme ich icons oder was man dazu brauch für die analog uhr her und wie groß müssen die bilder für ein theme sein ich weis das sind viele fragen aber ich brauch hilfe achso und das mit den akku balken wie geht das bitte hab bei euch schon viele schöne themes gesehen und da waren auch die akku balken anders wie macht man das
