Gruß an Symbian.
See the Read Me:
"Currently known problems:
Current Symbian OS phones won't be supported
(Nokia 3650, Nokia 7650, Nokia Communicator series and Sony Ericsson P800)."
Apple's iSync and GSM Remote currently work with "IrMC" (Level 4). Symbian
OS does not provide this but a "SyncML" client. Unfortunately there are
three transport ways defined within the SyncML standard:
- HTTP or WSP which are for remote sync over the internet or WAP
- OBEX which is for local sync over Bluetooth, infrared or cable.
Symbian OS does not provide SyncML over OBEX.
The protocol used on the Windows PC platform is a proprietary, not public
protocol called "m-Router". Only Symbian (not Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Siemens,
Panasonic, ...) is allowed to give licenses for this protocol and doesn't
give me any documentation.
Neither Nokia with its Series 60 implementation of Symbian OS nor Sony
Ericsson with their P800 have added any own local sync standard. Nokia plans
to add this feature for future Series 60 phones but fails to state a release
date. This won't be an upgrade for their current devices.
