S100 SMS Memory?

Hello Everybody,

I would like to know where in Germany you all have bought the S100. I have contacted ***** and they don´t have it yet. They say that the only retailer who has the phone is T-mobile... Is that correct, or there any other retailer on the Internet who has the phone ready for delivery....???

I have seen that there are some guys in this forum who bought the S100 at (fonmarkt). Are they reliable???? Because if I order it (I live in Denmar) I have to pay in advance.. Is that save??

Most of the sellers in the local advertise board are quite reliable. fonmarkt, Maik Starke and many others do a good job.

When talking about S100's background image capabilities you should have in mind the following: Unlike T100, the S100 uses animated GIFs for its animated backgrounds. While you had to put 7 single images into the T100 and then use its loop function to get an animation, you can create animated GIFs for the S100 (or use existing ones). That means that only one image file is enough to get the S100 screen animated.

I don't know if you've owned Samsung phones in the past, but do they bring out regular updates for phones (like Ericsson have done with the T68) or is it a little more infrequent?

How many (polyphonic) ringtones can you store on the phone?

When in T9 mode, the texting speed doesn't lag behind like the T68 did (before the T68i update), does it?

Is the number of backgrounds that can be saved still 7 like it was on the T100...?

Lastly, companies like http://www.meisl.de are selling the S100 on the 'net fo around 550euros. Is that similar to the highstreet price, or inflated?

also ich hab das S100 ganz normal hier bei uns im laden für 567€ bekommen und habs gleich mitgenommen ...
aber eigentlich war meisl.de immer viel günstiger...

In my opinion, this only is for Java...

the images i've sent have a size ~50kb ! so u can send 65.000 color images to your phone!

Rappelsack -> If it is possible for you, could you please write a little review of the S100... I have seen that there is some reviews here on this site, but I don´t understand german that well.

Could you please write the pros and cons?, I would be very happy.

By the way, where have you bought your S100, and what did you pay?

It is possible to transfer pictures from your pc to the phone using IR?

Is the GPRS faster than on your T39m??

Where it is possible to dl java-applications to the S100?
