The Siemens S56 has been granted approval by the FCC.
Newsbrief by Sean Cooper on Monday January 20, 2003.
Siemens new dual band phone the S56, was granted permission to be used in the USA as of the 8th of January 2003. The S56 is, for all intents and purposes, the same phone as the S55 - just not triband. This phone really is an attempt to create an all in one phone with features similar to the Sony Ericsson T68i. From the small amount of information I have found, Siemens seems to have been successful.
Some specifications for the Siemens S56:
Dual Band GSM 800/1900
256 colour 101 x 80 LCD display
5 hour talktime, 200 hours standby
Downloadable Java applications
Messaging: MMS, EMS, email
Polyphonic ringtones
This phone is expected late in Q1 2003.
Wer also Wert drauf legt, dass er eine Nummer mehr hat als alle Anderen: Zuschlagen!
Aber was soll das, die Tribandfähigkeit zurückzustutzen?
Das S55 ist doch auch FCC approved...
Cheers
