Treo 750v - gateway/bridged network – Laptop <-> Treo

Hi all,

got a new treo 750v and most of the things work fine for me, except using the smartphone as an Internet gateway. What i try to do, is connecting the smartphone with my laptop via usb and use the smartphone connection (GPRS/UMTS) to surf with the laptop thru the net. So just a simple gateway/bridged network - i try not to use the handheld as a modem, just using the connection from the smartphone.

Unfortunately i have no clue how this should work - the manual only explain a modem connection and if i understood it correctly, its not the kind of connection im looking for.

Treo 750v
Windows Mobile 5
Windows XP
Connection USB oder Bluethoot

So, it would be great if someone could help me!?

Danke für die Info. Als ich das gelesen hatte, dachte ich das Modem verbindung "wie früher" eine neue Verbindung aufbaut und ich somit nicht meine GPRS/UMTS Flat nutzen kann. Aber so wie ich das jetzt verstehe ist das ja nur eine art workaround damit der PC versteht wie er nach draußen kommuniziert ....

Werde es mal ausprobieren, wichtig ist mir wie gesagt das ich meine Base Flat nutzen kann .....
