AMSTERDAM, Oct 31 (Reuters) - Nokia Oyj NOK1V.HE will unveil three new mobile phone models on Monday, including a smaller and thinner version of its personal organiser phone Communicator, industry sources told Reuters on Thursday.
The colour-screen Communicator, currently nicknamed 'the Brick' because of its size, will also be ready for faster mobile data networks called GPRS, the sources said.
Details of the two other handsets were sketchy, but they were expected to have colour displays, feature capabilities to download games, receive picture messages and play musical ringtones.
Nokia Mobile Phones spokesman Tapio Hedman was not immediately available for comment.
The phones will be shown on Monday when the Finnish mobile phone giant hosts its annual mobile Internet conference, this time in Munich, Germany.
Nokia, the world's largest mobile phone maker, is also expected to make an announcement regarding a security solution on Monday.
Businesses only want to give their staff mobile devices to access corporate information over secure connections. Nokia currently builds security systems from Israel's Check Point CHKP.O in its wireless network equipment.
Sweden's on-line mobile phone magazine Mobil.se also reported Nokia would launch a new model of its Communicator.
Nokia mobile phone launches are closely watched because of its dominant position as the world's largest mobile phone maker, supply over a third of all phones sold to consumers worldwide. Global handset sales are expected to be reach around 400 million units this year, almost flat compared with last year.
