Ich würde ganz klar sagen fake!
Mein Schwiegervater hat auch so eine Mail bekommen.

Zum einen würd ebay nie nach pers. Daten fragen bzw. auffordern, diese zu aktualisieren o.ä.
Zum anderen wäre es unverständlich, warum ebay Deutschland E-Mails in Englisch verschickt. Die können ja gar nicht davon ausgehen, dass jeder User diese Mails komplett versteht.

Solche Mails bekomme ich auch ab und zu mal. Sofort ab in den Müll damit, die sind Fake. Ach ja, vor dem in die Tonne kloppen vielleicht noch weiterleiten an spoof@ebay.de ...

habe heute auch eine merkwürdige Mail bekommen.

Bin zu 99,99% sicher, dass sie nicht von Ebay ist?

BTW: Woran würde ich eigentlich eine echte Mail von Ebay Fraud Prevention erkennen?

Hups, den Thread ganz vergessen. Die erste mail ist ein Fake, zumal ich nicht glaube, dass eBay seine mails neuerdings über einen Provider aus der Elfenbeinküste schickt.

Ja, A B E R bei Ebay weiß man ja nie...!

Dass es echt aussieht, ist ja gerade der springende Punkt beim Phishing. Ich nehme an, dass du einfach die email hier ins Forum reinkopiert hast. Dann wird natürlich der Link so übernommen, wie in der email angezeigt.
Wenn du den Link in der email anklickst, kommst du auch _genau_ bei der geposteten Adresse raus?
Beispiel: http://www.telefon-treff.de führt zu Spiegel Online. Das will ich damit sagen.
