Panasonic GD87, not a good camera phone! debate!

As long as no one has seen or reviewed a final or at least a preview model, it doen't make so much sence to dicsuss advantages or drawbacks. I'd suggest to wait for the final unit to see how it scores.

However, if the cam's specs are as you outlined, then MCA-20 and 7650 indeed do their job far better. The Panasonic's resolution would be suitable for MMS needs only.

Well, I think low Resolution Cameras are cheaper.
So it may will result in a lower end Price for that Phone.
And this is the only chance Panasonic will get against Nokia or Sony Ericsson.
The typical buyers of 7650 are no business people, it is for the "richer" fun generation, i think. So the branding is more worth than features, like we saw it on Nokia 3310.

welcome to TT! I have found many times valuable information at threeGmobile.net.
The camera resolution of the GD87 may be a bit disappointing, only sufficient for phone2phone MMS.
But the GD87 seems to have a great advantage over other phones, it supports WAP2.0. I hope its browser is more tolerable to non XHTML-websites and able to show chtml-pages and pda-tailored pages.
The current software of the T68i fails at this point.
I am eagerly waiting for a phone that is an alternative to the NEC N21i. Many people would like to see webpages on their phone, but don't like the N21i and aren't eplus-subscribers.
In many points the only browser, that is able to show many (c)html-pages, even bigger ones than the N21i, seems to be the Microsoft Mobile Explorer used in Sony phones like the CMD-J5. I have to submit that it has some real drawbacks, e.g. graphics cannot be switched off and the CPU of the J5 is to slow for this complex software.
So i put some hope on the Sony Z700 with GPRS and was shocked when i heard that it will never appear on the market.
Do you know some phones (apart from expensive smartphones like the P800 and java-based solutions) that are able to display normal webpages?
